I have been told by several people that went up last weekend there are few campsites left, is this true. I don't want to pull my camper all the way there and not have a site. Why are people allowed to rope off large areas, I thought it was first come, first serve for sites. Thank you Kelly for keeping everyone informed.

Capt, there are usually still spots available, they might not be prime location, but there are spots. They do allow people to bring their campers out or rope off the area's for their campers/tents the weekend before the party, and most people don't rope off any more than they actually need.

We were at the party yesterday and even though we didn't win anything (as usual) we had a great time. However there was one issue I wish to express my opinion on and I think I speak for many others too..... At the party the issue came up about what if a person is there at the party but is NOT registered. Should they still be allowed to collect their prize if their name is drawn? My answer along with many, many people sitting around us at the party is NO. The rules are that you must be registered or at least in line by 2:00pm to be eligible to win prizes other than Major prizes. Everyone else took their turn standing in line to get registered and NO ONE should be an exception. Although the registration does form a line now and then it does not take that long to get through and therefore should be no exceptions. This also should eliminate the so called "count down" when drawing names for prizes. It is simple.... If the name drawn is NOT registered then there is no need for a "count down" just draw another name and move on. Yesterday when the crowd was asked to express their opinion on this matter there was a lot of people (approx 80-90%) opposed where we were sitting. Even though several people tried to claim the prize the correct person luckily was not present. Had that person been there and not been registered but still allowed to receive there prize I think you would have had problems including many people not participate next year. If you start breaking some of the rules you are going to have people wanting to change everything to their advantage. I have been on the Cannon Run for many years and have never won anything but it always seems Fun and Fair so lets keep it that way. If you would have allowed that one person to collect a prize yesterday without being registered then next year you would have had hundreds of people not bother to register or even get there before 2:00pm. People would just wait until the drawing starts and expect to claim their prize. Thanks, Softail04

Restrictions need to be set in place regarding four wheelers and other high speed vehicles driving up and down the lanes in the campground. It is ridiculous how some of these people drive especially when its dark out, 30,40+ mph is uncalled for. People walk these lanes too! Someone actually hit my friends camper with a four wheeler Saturday night and took off. I'm one that brought a four wheeler but I'll gladly leave it home of that becomes a rule. Use the money that you plan to charge for reservations and hire people to haul those that don't want to walk from designated pick up points around the campground. Someone is going to die!
I also seen plenty of people without wristbands walking right by your "security" personnel. What fences was Scott referring too that has been put in place with the money? None!!
